Climate Challenge Network is conducting a national research project on behalf of Natural Resources Canada’s Codes Acceleration Fund, examining the operating energy efficiency of recently constructed K-12 schools. The study is benchmarking the energy performance of over 200 schools from five Canadian provinces, all opened since 2015, against an NECB 2020 reference archetype. Early findings reveal a wide range of performance, offering valuable planning, design, energy modeling, construction, commissioning, and operations lessons.
This webinar features a panel discussion with government and school board officials from across the country, sharing emerging insights to help ensure every new school can achieve high energy efficiency standards.
